The road to 2020

Hi Fellow Members of the Yellow and Black Army,

Season 2019 is over, and we are now looking forward to 2020 – a new decade and the challenge of continuing to improve in all aspects of our Club.

Thank you to all who helped ensure that 2019 was a good one.

The Annual General Meeting was held on November 20th. The Minutes, including all reports, are online.

The Board remains unchanged:

Chair – Lyn Tout

Director of Communications – Heinz Freisler

Director of Finance – Adam Davies

Director of Operations – Jayden Street

Director of Youth, Recruitment and Retention – Holly Stewart.

We are currently accepting Expression of Interest for all coordinator roles.

We thank the following for taking on 2020 roles:

Men’s Coordinator – Daniel Manzie

Maintenance Coordinator – Jacob Freidl

Sponsorship and Grants Coordinator – Caroline Dixon

Umpire Coordinator – Craig Blake has volunteered to learn the ropes and work with Peta Swanton.

Senior Results Officer - Debbie Freisler

Members Protection Information Officer – Lynda Tivendale

Club Historian – Heinz Freisler

Social Media & Marketing Coordinators – Jess Falduto and Caitlin Spence

School Roadshow Coordinator – Holly Stewart

However, there are still roles to be filled - These roles can be either done by one person or people working together sharing the role. Please read what is required and see how you might be able to help our Club grow and develop. The success of the Club depends on its members putting their hands up to help out.

Women’s Coordinator -

Section Treasurers, Rhiannon Downs will do the women’s section. This role involves being responsible for fee management, including sending invoices, following up on overdue fees, managing time plans, etc. Still need a men’s section treasurer.

Inclusion coordinator – working with others to ensure Whole of Club Training night, Men’s, Women’s and Fair Go Sports rounds are organised, promoted and conducted

WDHL Coordinator – to run the Hook in 2 Hockey program and primary school kids program on a Tuesday night before senior training.

Social coordinator – to plan and conduct social events throughout the year.

Social Hockey coordinator – to organise social hockey including summer and if possible, a social hockey during winter for those not involved in main competition. This also encompasses liaising with others for events such as the Indo/Aus Diwali Tournament.

Please let either me or Jayden Street, Operations Director, know of your interest in any of the above positions.

Fees for 2020 are set for most aspects of the Club. The remainder of fees will be established once we know more about the HV restructuring of masters and mid-week hockey.

You can pay these at any time before round 1 of your respective section. We will be enforcing our NO PAY NO PLAY policy. You need to be financial by round 1 of your respective competition. If you need to discuss your payment schedule, please contact your section coordinator as soon as possible.

Seniors $570

Juniors 12-18 $250

Juniors U10 $180

Family discount $20 first child/$40 second child

Junior playing senior $400

Student $470 (must be full time student)

Senior Goalkeeper with own gear $230

Junior goalkeeper with own gear $100

Life members playing $230
